Interior Designers Chosen to Create Model Units at Luxurious 45 PROVINCE Development

The Abbey Group Announces Partnership with Two Acclaimed Designers

BOSTON, MA - The Abbey Group, developers of Boston's newest residences at 45 PROVINCE, announced a partnership with two renowned Boston based interior design-ers Duffy Design Group and Manuel de Santaren.  Each designer will be responsible for creating a model unit within the 32-story luxury condominium tower.

Duffy Design Group is owned by award winning interior designer Dennis Duffy.  Duffy, one of the most sought after designers in the city, is known for his inspiring interiors, having worked on other Boston residential projects including the InterContinental, One Charles Street South and the Ritz Carlton. Commercial projects include Rocca Kitchen & Bar, Dante Restaurant and the Charlesmark Hotel.  Duffy Design Group has also worked with former Boston Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez, and recently launched a furniture line opening D Scale, a home-furnishing store in Boston's South End.

Duffy came to Boston in 1996 and worked for Celeste Cooper (who is responsible for designing the lobby furnishing and consulting on the interior finishes within 45 PROVINCE), prior to founding his own company. Duffy's approach to design is from a modernist perspective; he strives to enhance the architectural envelope, not overwhelm it.

Manuel De Santaren will design a different model unit for the development reflecting his signature style of incorporating elements of contemporary art into each and every space his firm creates.

De Santaren is one of Boston's leading interior designers; he and his firm have designed luxury apartments and corporate spaces in the city, country and beyond. Known for hav-ing a curatorial eye, de Santaren's company often establishes art as a centerpiece of each unit he creates.

"By aligning ourselves with two prominent designers who share a common vision and appreciation for luxury, we will be able to showcase the endless possibilities that come with ownership at 45 PROVINCE," said Abbey Group President and CEO Robert Ep-stein. "This is a great partnership that blends the vision of two extremely creative design firms with the overall vision of our development team which it to create Boston's most distinguished residential tower," Epstein added.

45 PROVINCE, scheduled to be completed in Spring of 2009, is a full-service 138-unit residence featuring: a resident only Exhale spa including a four seasons pool, hot tub, spa treatment room and fitness studio with cardio, stretching and conditioning areas; a parlor comprised of a library; lounge and screening room; an elegant dining room with a cater-ing kitchen; a fine dining restaurant; a bistro restaurant with an outdoor patio; a spectacu-lar roof garden offering sweeping panoramic views of the city; valet parking and 24-hour concierge service.

The Abbey Group is a Boston-based real estate company founded in 1968.  From its early years redeveloping urban Boston historic buildings into luxury residences and high qual-ity offices, the firm has evolved into a prominent force in real estate and resort develop-ment. The Abbey Group has developed over 100 buildings used for commercial, retail, residential and parking uses including the Landmark Center, Lafayette Corporate Center, Landmark Square Apartments and St. Germain Street Apartments. In 2003, The Abbey Group became Managing Partners of the fabled Boston Celtics, bringing a lifetime love and enthusiasm for the team to the partnership.
