Abbey Group's Newest Luxury Condominiums Take Shape in Downtown Boston
BOSTON, MA - The project development team members of The Abbey Group's 45 PROVINCE development gathered with city, industry, and community leaders including Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Suffolk Construction to celebrate the "topping off' of Boston's newest luxury condominium residences.
Upon completion in early 2009, the 32-story luxury-high-rise, located at 45 Province Street at the foot of Beacon Hill and within a short stroll to the city's financial district and the Boston Common, will offer the ultimate in elegance and design for urban dwellers.
"I'm delighted to be here today to celebrate this construction milestone," Mayor Menino said. "Soon this building will be home to hundreds of new residents, all of whom will add to the vitality of the Downtown Boston neighborhood. The presence of these new homeowners will greatly help strengthen the Downtown Crossing retail district as we move forward with our branding and marketing initiative."
45 PROVINCE is a full-service 138-unit residence featuring: a resident only Exhale spa including a four seasons pool, hot tub, cold plunge, spa treatment room and fitness studio with cardio, stretching and conditioning areas; a parlor comprised of a library; lounge and screening room; an elegant dining room with a catering kitchen; a fine dining restaurant; a bistro restaurant with an outdoor patio; a spectacular roof garden offering sweeping panoramic views of the city; valet parking and 24-hour concierge service.
"We are very pleased Mayor Menino and city officials were able to join us on this exciting day to help celebrate this construction milestone," said Abbey Group Chairman and CEO Robert Epstein. "It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication from so many people to get us to this point, and we are appreciative of everyone's efforts. We are excited to continue to move forward to deliver 138 units of luxury housing for Boston's residents to enjoy for years to come."
Attendees of the event celebration participated in a ceremonial mixing of the last bucket of concrete that was then raised up to the 32nd story of the building along with an American and a Boston Celtics flag to complete the topping off. The Abbey Group, Managing Partners of the Boston Celtics, also displayed the team's conference trophy at the event adding to the excitement for invited guests.
Among those gathered at the celebration were Mayor Thomas M. Menino; Boston City Councilor At-Large John Connolly; Robert Epstein, chairman and chief executive officer of The Abbey Group; David Epstein, president and chief operating officer of The Abbey Group; John Fish, president and chief executive officer of Suffolk Construction; Simeon Bruner, principle of Bruner-Cott and Associates and many invited guests and development team members.
Abbey Group President and COO David Epstein echoed his excitement to be part of a project that brings new elegance to Downtown Boston.
"It has been really exciting to see the plans for the development transformed off of paper and take shape into the Boston skyline," said David Epstein. "Upon completion 45 PROVINCE will offer the ultimate in amenities to residents that want to be surrounded by all that Boston has to offer."
Suffolk Construction has had hundreds of dedicated workers on the project since breaking ground in 2006.
"We are honored to be here today to celebrate this important milestone for this amazing project," said John Fish, CEO of Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. "Because of the leadership of Mayor Menino and the vision of Robert and David Epstein, along with the support of all the architects, subcontractors and building trades, we have an incredible opportunity to deliver a first class project for the people of Boston. Today is an important step in that journey, but the best is yet to some."
